Food Scientist (Piscataway, NJ) – Formulate new products with innovative techniques from bench top to pilot plant validation; Formulate flavors for beverages, baked products and marinades; Develop HACCP, SSOP, SOPs for commercial manufacturing; Conduct Physical, Chemical and microbiology tests and analysis on raw food materials and finished products; Conduct Monthly internal audit based on GMP, HACCP and assist with FDA/USDA audits and state inspections; Create and maintain Food Nutrition Labels and Specifications for Finished Products; Conduct Food Safety training including GMP, HACCP, SOP, SSOP; Search for new technology to improve the quality of products; Provide technical support to other departments.
Must have a Master’s Degree in Food Science or Food Technology plus skills and knowledge of HACCP, GMP/SOP/SSOP, Food Microbiology/Food Analysis, Food Nutrition, pilot plant validation, DSC/RVA, HPLC, Prism and ImageJ analytical tools.
